Sorry for the late report, we have had some text (sms) communication issues however resolved now. It has been a fantastic start of the season, 99 Salmon altogether for 7 happy rods. Peder Kjær Jensen from Denmark had a remarkable week, it was his very first adventure for atlantic salmon and he caught 20 salmon – biggest 15 Lbs – what an accomplishment, well done and I am sure a new Junky have been born! Umba veteran Søren Gottfredsen – from Denmark – managed to catch 24 salmon, wauw…among all the silvers he caught some big chromers were caught; 18 Lbs, 19 Lbs, 20 Lbs and 23 Lbs. A big congratulation to both of them and they were both celebrated in traditional 20 Lbs Umba Juice (Vodka).
Best flies; Red Butt, Billy Butt, The Podolsky Fly, Black Sheep and The Undertaker, seize 6-8 and fished with floating line with sink tip or slow sinking intermediate. Water temperate 16c.
