Back home after a fantastic BC. Trip. Columbus Leth and I manage to land 30 big Steelies (Most fish was Sea liced). Two fish was 20 lbs and with a 22Lbs. for Columbus as the biggest. Beside the twenty pounders, we manage to land 21 Steelhead between 13 – 19 Lbs. Smallest fish was a couple of 13lbs chromes.
Holy smoke, those Skeena fish are really hot. Many of the fish stripped us for more than 200meters of backing in the first run, and most of the time we had to jump behind a hot Chromer 200 – 300m downstream before we manage to land the fish.
A big thanks to Dustin, Chad, Jeff, Scott and Sky for setting up this fabulous adventure for us.
I also want to express my deepest gratitude to Jezz and Pip for a wonderful stay at the Pioneer lodge – The food was excellent and so was the accommodation.
Finally a very big thanks to Bob and Kathy Clay for a wonderful afternoon in their astonishing house at Kispiox river. Bob and Kathy are exceptional people who treated us like family members.
Bob – I can’t wait to fish one of your awesome Splitcane rods
Once again a Billion thanks to all of you guys for making this trip possible
Ps. Salmon Junkies have tailored two weeks next spring together with our BC. friends – Let us know if you want to join us for the biggest and hottest Steelheads in the world.
