Week 37
Autumn is upon us! Wind and rainy days has provided wonderful scenery for recording our movie and perfect conditions for our 10 rod strong group. This have been one of the best weeks in a long time! Almost everyone in the group have become member of the exclusive Salmon Junkie Twenty Pound Club (most of them already where members since they are all veterans on the Umba river).
Largest salmon caught was following:
21 salmon between 10 – 14lbs.
16 salmon between 15 – 19lbs.
8 salmon between 25 – 29lbs.
Specially 81 year old Jean Domange has to be noted for, with biggest salmon on 15,7lbs. 16 lbs. 18lbs. 21,2lbs. 25lbs. 26lbs. – yeah!
Salmon geek David Japp landed second largest salmon a 25lbs. Whopper + 15lbs. 17lbs. And 19lbs. As the largest!
As a part of the game several Whoppers were lost at daily basis, some with a estimated weight about 25 – 29lbs!
All in all a wonderful week with more than hundred salmon landed!

Photographer Columbus Leth has returned home – with some epic Umba film material! Combined with the recordings from Grand Varzuga, we should be ready with an awesome movie about our shared addiction by next spring
