Count down for a new exciting autumn season in Umba.
11thAugust will be our opening week in Umba. Once again it is time to swing our flies for the mythical Umba autumn Salmon.
In August the life giving and short polar summer is coming to an end. Autumn sets in quickly and the surrounding forest literally explodes in a spectacular explosion of colours along the banks of the river. This is the time and call for fulfilling one of the dedicated salmon anglers wildest dreams – big, ocean fresh autumn fish! Now only two weeks to go before a new season in Umba starts.
Camp Manger Nick Podolsky mailed me yesterday telling, that Umba river has started to drop after a wet and cold summer. That means that we have the backcountry filled up with water, which should secure us with perfect water conditions from 11th August until 13th October.
