From one extreme to another and then another. The week started with tropical weather and then a big storm arrived with massive rain and then the tropical weather came back, 30 c and up to 19c water temperature. The week ended with very bad weather again and luckily we got our guest back to Murmansk in time so they could get their connecting flights. A few groups were grounded in camps and could not be lifted by hellicopter. I hear most of them came out today (Sunday). 180 salmons – 8 rods – all together and some big ones in between from 15-18 lbs. Water level back to “normal” this year, meaning record low. Floating and interm lines, all with sink tip and seize 8 flies.
Now part 1 of our season is over and we will set full sails again mid August for the prime time Umba season. More to come and we wish you all a wonderful summer.
All the best
