Salmon Junkies is looking for 6 test rods for Umba for the prime autumn week 10 – 17 Sept 2011.

Be one of the first foreign anglers to fish some of the first holding pools in Umba.

Until now this lower section of the river has not been accessible to foreign anglers (all foreign anglers except Salmon Junkies are not allowed in this area, as it is considered military ground).

Heavy current, big boulders, huge and fast pools, deep holding pools, hard wading, long cast and monster salmon – that is lower Umba. Demanding salmon fishing for the experienced and fit Salmon angler.

Our base will be a newly build lodge at the mouth of Umba river. The lodge has a wonderful dining and socialising room. The sleeping accommodation is in 5 comfortable rooms with private showers and flush toilets. Electricity 24 hours a day.
There will be one guide for every 3 rods. Daily transportation during the week is by car or raft. Access to double bank fishing along the whole stretch.

Now you have an outstanding chance to be to be the first foreign angler allowed to fish this lower section of the famous Umba river.
The lower section of Umba contains a large number of classic pools as well as strong unmerciful rapid sections – Double handled rods and suitable big reel is a must here – We guarantee that hard core Salmon fishermen will not be disappointed –– Grab this amazing chance and be first to cast the flyline to the celebrated and distinguished fresh autumn salmon of Umba!

Please note that some Russian anglers will legally be fishing the beat as well.

Price Euro 1750 per rod – 7 days fishing. Fishing starts Saturday morning and ends Friday evening
